Prof Margaret Reid honoured with Fellowship of the American Physical Society

Professor Margaret Reid had been elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society in the 2017 Fellows are eleceted for their exceptional contributions to the physics enterprise; e.g., outstanding physics research, important applications of physics, leadership in or service to physics, or significant contributions to physics education. She was elected by the APS Division of Quantum Information.

Her citation reads:

Margaret Reid has made pioneering contributions to quantum optics and quantum information science. She has originated ways to test the fundamental concepts of nonlocality, squeezing, Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) paradoxes, entanglement and macroscopic superpositions in quantum optical systems.
